Subject: Excellent Run at The Orpheum
Attended this run of shows and was blown away! Totally agree that this incarnation of Phil & Friends was most special - they took me beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for.

Looking forward to returning to the Orpheum on Oct 9th (also John Lennon's birthday) for a night with the latest group of Phriends.

Peace

Subject: still stunned
as i return to these 2001 Q shows, i'm still stunned.

a cool boston night, festive audience to say the least, rotten yet ornate old theater, lucy in the sky, hazy smoke lifting to the rafters, and the band lifted off as if they were the mother ship.

from the first note i knew i was going to be floored. the whole orchestra pit was jamming, wooden floor boards swaying, i didn't think that i'd ever reach such heights.

"into the mystic" sent chills down my spine so deep that i'm not sure i'll ever have a musical experience that powerful again (and that came after 19 years of already having seen phil live!).

these '01 shows should be at the top of everyone's rotation. i suspect that they don't make the top download list because most in need already had copies before archive was up and running? there's little to compare this with . . . '01 was Q's masterpiece.

yes, it's a drag that mirror of thillasa is missing. however, the radio recording is supreme.

Subject: Smoking
After getting shut out of this show, hearing it broadcast on Wzlx two days later was awesome. I actually taped the broadcast in analog, and still listen to it time and again. So to see this same broadcast in digital is awsome. The first set is pretty good, but the 2nd set is pure heat.

Subject: SMOKING show
2001 was without a doubt the seminal year for PLQ.

i missed the 1st night of a 3 night run at the Orpheum. The show from begining to end was high energy & jamming. A+++++ quality to.

This is a MUST have........!!!!!

Subject: SBD nice!
This is one hell of a show. This is a seamless sonic journey. I have a crappy AUD, can't wait to jump on this! Actually, looks like its a FM broadcast. Even better! Thanks so much for sharing = )
